I’m Bryan Casey, and I’m a Marketing Director at IBM. Currently I lead our teams around SEO, digital analytics, user research, information architecture and chunks of our infrastructure and tech stack (cms, asset management, etc).

I was one of the first 4 marketers on our public cloud business and as a result, got to help bring and popularize a lot of more modern tools and methods into IBM (LTV:CAC, the growth stack, web + product UX models and a host of others).

I started my career in product marketing and communications before transitioning into more classic performance marketing roles the last 6 or 7 years. I’ve had the opportunity to lead teams across marketing analytics, campaign management and digital strategy. I like to believe that being able to blend some performance and channel savvy with actually understanding a little bit about business and technology is the thing that makes me tick professionally.

I’ve also recently crossed the chasm from being a first line manager to being an executive. All our new hires out of college have made me realize that I’ve become an old man and might also have some wisdom to share around careers and management.

In college I majored in English and Creative Writing, so I also just love to write. It’s a major part of how I think and work through ideas. I’m excited to share what I learn as I learn it and hopefully you all can help educate me along the way too.

Oh and in case it wasn’t obvious, the title of this site is a combination of “SERP” (search engines results page) and of course, superstar. Maybe we all becomes legends of the SERPs…
